Beatology is an event for Music Producers & Singers. This event will put both producers & singers in the spotlight by allowing them to showcase their talent to a live audience and network with other music industry professionals.
Beatology is an organised event that consists of four segments:
Segment No 1: The Producer Battle
Selected producers will step into the spotlight and produce a beat in front of a live audience. Assisted by an engineer the producer will have 5 minutes to select given sounds on Logic Audio, then arrange, edit and sequence them to form a beat of their choice. The audience will decide which producer has made the best beat and the winner will go through to the next round and be one step closer to winning the cash prize
Segment No 2: Spotlight
Selected producers & singers will have 10 minutes to showcase his/her beats or songs to the audience in the form of a presentation. This segment is designed to allow producers & singers to convey a personal narrative to support each music piece
Segment No 3: Singer Battle
Selected singers will have 2 minutes (max) come forward and sing a song of their choice, a cappella style in front of a live audience.
Two singers will be chosen to compete against each other and the audience will decide which singer has the best voice. The winner will go through to the next round and one step closer to winning the cash prize
Segment No 4: The Producer (A cappella) Battle
Selected producers will step into the spotlight and produce a beat in front of a live audience. Assisted by an engineer, the producer will have 5 minutes to select given sounds on Logic Audio, then arrange, edit and sequence them to form beat around a given a cappella.
